Frequently Asked Questions:

Are you accepting new patients?

Thank you for your interest! At this time, I am accepting patients currently residing in Massachusetts, Maine, or Florida for tele-therapy. I am also seeing a limited number of therapy clients in-person in my office in Easton, MA.

What is Tele-therapy?

Tele-therapy is a way of providing therapy that works over a video chat, from the comfort of your home. There is a substantial base of research that shows that internet-based tele-therapy is safe and effective for many psychological concerns and diagnoses (Andersson & Titov, 2014; Carlbring et al., 2018).

How can I contact you?

You can reach me at (424) 543 - 4573.

How long are sessions?

Each session is typically 45-50 minutes long, though longer sessions can sometimes be accommodated.

What should I bring to my first session?

Please complete an intake questionnaire, as this will help me quickly gather essential information to get to know you. The intake questionnaire and required consent forms will be sent to you before the session through a secure client portal called Sessions Health. You may also want to send me additional documents that will help me understand your concerns. Typically, it can also be helpful to provide copies of any additional paperwork that might be helpful, including past evaluations, assessments, school documentations such as IEPs/504 plans, custody arrangements, and other documentation.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not directly accept insurance, and am considered an out-of-network provider. This means that you would pay me directly for each session. However, many insurance companies provide out-of-network benefits that may offset some, most, or all of this cost. If you want to seek reimbursement I will provide you with a “super bill” or a receipt with the medical coding that you can submit to your insurance company. The amount reimbursed with depend on your plan. If you would like to be reimbursed by your insurance, then please contact your insurance company directly for questions about coverage and out-of-network reimbursement before making an appointment. You also have a right to a Good Faith Estimate.

Where are you licensed?

I have active licenses in Massachusetts (PSY11613) and Maine (PS2685). I am also able to provide tele-therapy in Florida (TPPY3247). You can learn more about each of these licenses below:
